Head Varsity Coach - Kasey Walkenhurst

Coach Walkenhurst was born in Murray, Utah and grew up in West Jordan. He went to West Jordan High School and played varsity basketball for three years and was a two year starter. After high school he received an academic scholarship to Salt Lake Community College and received an Associates Degree. He then went to Weber State University and received a Bachelors Degree in Physical Education and History.

He started his coaching career right out of high school at West Jordan High School and coached for 8 seasons before coming to Woods Cross. During his years at West Jordan, he coached in two 5A state championships (05, 09) winning the 2009 championship. Coach Walkenhurst is very excited to continue building on its tradition. GO WILDCATS!!!
