Added Open Gym Day & Mandatory Tryout Meeting
Wednesday, November 6th will be an added Open Gym night which will start at 6:00 like usual. There will be a MANDATORY tryout meeting the same night starting at 5:30 in the main gym. If you are interested in trying out for the basketball team you MUST be at this meeting.

WX Youth Basketball Tryouts
Tryouts for the Youth Basketball Program will be Wednesday, September 25th @ WX High School.
7-9 grades 6:00 - 7:30 pm
5-6 grades 7:30 - 9:00 pm
This is the 2nd year of the WX youth basketball program. Each grade will have 1-2 teams (depending on numbers) and each team will have an experienced coach. Each participant will be required to attend all practices, games and pay a monthly fee for coaching. The teams will participate in the AAU sanctioned tournaments/leagues that run once a month from October - March. Practices will be once a week. Coaches may opt to add a second practice as needed.
Boys that tryout for these teams and make it are expected to commit to the WX teams. If boys have other comp teams they would like to play for, they should not tryout as a main player, but may be added as an alternate. Please communicate that to the coaches and to Coach Johnsen before the tryouts. This will in no way hinder any boys chances of ever making the WX high school teams. It is simply to keep the teams full and organized with consistent players.

Wildcat Basketball Camp
Reminder that the Wildcat Basketball Summer Camp starts tomorrow morning. The 7th-12th grade session goes from 8:30 to 11:00am and the 3rd-6th grade session goes from 11:30 to 1:30pm. The cost is $50 and can be paid before camp starts tomorrow.

4A All-Star Game
Congratulations to both Skyler Farnes and Hayden Grant for being nominated and voted into the 4A All-Star Game!!! This is a very difficult accomplishment and these two players worked really hard to recieve this honor. The game will be this Saturday April, 20th at West Jordan High School at 4:00pm. If you can make it, please come support our Wildcats in this really fun game.

Youth Development Camp
Coach Jeff Johnsen will be resuming the Woods Cross Youth Development Clinics tonight at 7:30 at WXHS. The cost is still $10 and the coaching the players get is still well worth the money. All of those that have been coming to the clinics, we thank you and continue to get better everyday so the tradition of excellence at Woods Cross can continue for many years to come. GO WILDCATS!!!
